Sydney is a great place for everyone, but there are also some romantic things to do in Sydney!

If you’re looking for an adrenaline rush, you mustn’t miss climbing the Sydney Harbour Bridge! Slip into a grey jumpsuit and start the adventure of your life – conquering the fourth-longest single-span steel arch bridge in the world. There are three main climbs: Discovery and Bridge, which are 210 minutes each, and Express, which lasts 135 minutes. Don’t worry, you’ll be secured with a belt and slider clip that hooks onto a wire and keeps you safe while moving among the beams!

Prepare to meet Aboriginal elder Aunty Margaret Campbell, who’ll share some stories that date back to the period before colonization, when Sydney, as it is today, hasn’t existed yet. Learn about traditional practices of making fishing nets and shaping canoes, and finish off this amazing experience with kangaroo burgers and crocodile salad at the Gardener’s Lodge Cafe.

Taronga Zoo is really worth visiting – its wide, mesmerizing paths will lead you from one group of animals to another, you’ll see how time flies! Apart from bears, tigers, and lions, you’ll have a unique chance to see Komodo dragons, koalas, pygmy hippos, and platypuses, which are true Taronga classics. Make sure that you’re there for the bird and seal performances – these are breathtaking!

If you’re interested in seeing Sydney from a whole new perspective, you may want to do it from 1,000 feet above the water! Enter the six-seater aircraft with your friends or loved one and indulge in a one-of-a-kind experience. The captain will gladly show you all the landmarks, and especially the remarkable beaches Sydney is well-known for.  This view at night is the epitome of romance there in Sydney.

On the other hand, if you’re not that adventurous but you still want to see all the landmarks out there, organizing a bus charter may be the right solution for you – particularly if you’re traveling with a large group of friends. Getting from location to location has never been easier and it tends to bring the group together.

Water sports lovers will love the fact that Australia is one of the best countries when it comes to indulging in such activities. If riding the waves is your thing, make sure that Camp Cove is on your list of things you need to see. Bursting with scuba divers, paddleboarders, and snorkelers, it’s a perfect place to unwind and let go of all your worries. Don’t forget to grab some delicious ANZAC biscuits to munch on while looking at the harbor!

I guess this one might depend on the couple, but I’ve had several friends propose underwater while scuba diving, so that’s why this also makes the list of romantic things to do in Sydney 🙂
